Thirty-One Groundbreaking Poetry Books
In March, the Academy's National Poetry Almanac

startling and astounding books that have helped shape the American poetry
landscape. Starting with Walt Whitman's 1855 landmark Leaves of Grass, the
Almanac has examined collections by poets including Robert Frost, Gertrude

365 Days of Poetry: We Did It!
The end of March marks the completion of the National Poetry Almanac, a
year-long project begun last April in honor of National Poetry Month. If you
