Subject: Re: AEJMC: Obama's Promised "Change" Lacks Transparency
I agree with Ken Campbell that the resolution should come from CSM with
support of MAC. So, I defer to the leadership of CSM on this matter. Many of
our MAC members are also members of CSM -- but to those who are not,
please consider joining as CSM is responsible for monitoring and responding to
AEJMC in matters of concern to racial minorities. Dr. Brooks has agreed to
work with CSM and take the lead in drafting the resolution. At the CSM and
MAC membership meetings, or perhaps before we will have an opportunity to
look at the draft and move forward with this.
I also agree with Brad Gorham that we must acknowledge that we, as
members of AEJMC, granted President Pardon the right to speak for us in such
matters, but in an objective and rational manner, we must correct the
incorrect message that she set forth to the public with our resolution.
Dr. Brooks, let us know how we may assist you.
Thank you,
Jennifer Woodard
