FROM THE MMC LISTSERV:

Everyone,
As many of you may know, the FCC is reviewing its rules on media
ownership. These rules limit the ability of mega conglomerates to own
most/all media outlets in any one city. The FCC is considering
eliminating these rules. This would have a vast negative impact on not
only the diversity of voices heard in media, but also on public discourse
and the functioning of democracy.

The public is invited to comment on these ownership rules, but the
deadline is January 2nd! Please consider filing a comment with the FCC
regarding this urgent matter. If you'd like a primer on the rules, check
out the link below. If you want to file, check out the 2nd link ... it
provides step-by-step instructions with pre-written comments. It takes
less than 5 minutes to file a comment with the FCC.

Thank you!
Jan Fernback
