Hello MAC Members:

Watch you mailbox for the AEJMC 2004 Official Election Ballot.  I received
my ballot today and was pleasantly surprised to find that three former MAC
heads are seeking office.

The candidates are Ali N. Mohamed, Paula M. Poindexter and Kenneth
Campbell.

1. Ali Mohamed, U. of Edinboro, is the immediate past president of MAC.
   He is seeking a seat on the Professional Freedom and Responsibility
   Committee.

2. Paula Poindexter, U. of Texas at Austin, is seeking a Research Committee
   seat.

3. Kenneth Campbell, U. of South Carolina,is seeking a slot on the
   Committee on Teaching Standards.

I have had the pleasure of getting to know each of these candidates.  Each
is a strong and excellent choice in his or her own right.  Read their
profiles, look for their names on the ballot, and get your ballot in before
it's buried at the bottom of the long to-do list. (Been there; done that.)

Postmark deadline is April 5th.
