I concur with the group that a resolution is appropriate. I, too, question why this topic, why now. I find it inappropriate that the AEJMC leadership would think it acceptable to take a stand on an issue that's going to cause such contention. If the leaders of the organization are trying to bring attention to AEJMC, this is not the way to do it.

Subject: Resolution Call to Action

Colleagues -- It's clear MAC and CSM must lead the charge in taking a stand against our AEJMC President's clearly selective perception assault on President Obama. Has anyone told Carol Pardun, Paul Lester or other Advisory Council members that their position don't match Obama's record?
What was their evidence in taking this position?

Definitely, as all have said, we need to protest this release through a resolution response, and hold further discussion on the proceedings at our Denver meeting.

My appreciation to Dwight for starting the resolution draft and to Anita Rife for immediate expression of disdain.

As some have mentioned, I can only think of how DR. BARROW would respond in initiating an informed and deft call to action to demonstrate our dissent
with the AEJMC President's position. In my humble opinion, Pardun's AEJMC
release does not speak for great numbers of AEJMC members, is politically charged and has transparency issues as well.

This is a call to action.
