Thanks for giving credit where credit is due to Hayg for moving the Latino plenary forwardand for also recognizing the importance of us doing what it takes to get a good general membership attendance for the plenary.  Some past Latino-themed or diversity AEJMC plenaries, i.e. 1979 and 1996, have had great topics and speakers, but not the attendance they deserved.  One exception was Jesse Jackson in an earlier Chicago convention, who both drew a good crowd and delivered a stong message as part of a larger panel program.
