I join the list of those thanking Linda and waiting for Carol's response.
One would have to say that the news release was not political.  Also, why would the news media look to an organization of educators to make changes for them?  What's wrong with professional organizations of reporters and editors?
The White House press corps does not mince words and wields power. If they want different kinds of news conferences, they can take steps to get them.
