Hey Sharon:

I am living in Zamalek a community within Cairo. I am here for nine months
on a Fulbright Lecture/Research Award. I teach at a university in 6th of
October City, outside of Cairo. Egyptians are overwhelmingly supportive of
Obama. In fact, as soon as they find out that I am American, usually the
first thing they want to talk about is Obama. The newspapers here seem to
run quite a bit of material on him as well. I am in the process of starting
my research and colleting some newspapers articles. I will keep you posted.
I think the panel idea is excellent and would love to participate if
possible.

Best,

Von

Yvonne --

Great to hear from you in Egypt. You're in what city?

Indeed please share the Egyptian viewpoint. What have you observed, for
example, so far? What do you think of what Anita and I have suggested?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hope you're having a great visit there.

Sharon
