Subject: MMTC Auctions Seminar at the NABTP Conference


Dear Colleagues,

Registration opens today for the 13th Annual Meeting and Leadership
Conference of the National Association of Black Telecommunications
Professionals — to be held in Washington, D.C., September 16-18.

NABTP is the leading organization of African American professionals,
executives and entrepreneurs in all sectors of the telecommunications
industry.  This year’s conference will focus on emerging technologies,
public policy and regulatory issues.

The conference is also the place to be if you expect to participate in FM
Auction 37 or Wireless Auction 58.  As part of the conference program —
September 17, 8:30 to Noon - MMTC will present an intensive seminar on the
FCC auction process.  Speakers will include John Muleta, Chief of the FCC
Wireless Bureau; Francisco Montero, Executive Director of the Independent
Spanish Broadcasters Association; Ari Fitzgerald, Partner at Hogan &
Hartson; S. Jenell Trigg, Of Counsel at Leventhal Senter & Lerman; Raymond
Quianzon of Fletcher Heald & Hildreth, and Jack Mullaney, Principal of
Mullaney Engineering.  The seminar will cover:


Upcoming auctions and their economic potential
FCC rules and procedures governing auctions
Assembling and structuring a company to bid in auctions
Raising capital for an auction bid
Engineering to plan and support auction bids
Bidding strategy
