Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Journalism invites 
applications for a permanent tenure-track position beginning fall 2003.

PhD in journalism or related field from an accredited institution 
required. At least one year of effective teaching and five years of 
relevant professional experience required. Responsibilities: Successful 
candidate will teach courses in at least one of the following areas: 
public relations, advertising or magazines. Other specialization areas 
include, but are not limited to, the following: photojournalism; layout 
and design; law and ethics.

To become finalists, candidates must communicate effectively and 
perform well during the interview(s), which may include a teaching 
demonstration.

Applicants should send a letter, along with at least three reference 
letters, official transcripts, resume and evidence of teaching 
effectiveness, to Search Committee Chair, Journalism Department, 434 
Davis Hall, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, PA 15705.
