I agree with you.  Our School is planning some major recognition for the
2008 spring semester and for the fallsemester.

Great idea!  And if AEJMC or the MAC Division recognizes the 40th
anniversary of the Kerner Commission we should also honor Lee Barrow,
who in 1968 issued an inspiring call at the AEJ convention that spurred
the development of the MAC division and other initiaitives to make
journalism and journalism education more diverse and inclusive for all
people.
He set the goal, pointed the direction and cleared the path for all of
us and those who we have touched.
