hi everybody, just a quick note about a very amazing little tool I found
to help me manage the feeds to my students' blogs (I needed a way to
combine about 100 blogs into a single feed, so that I could easily keep
up with the most recent writing my students are publishing). it's called
KickRSS and I have posted more information about it here:
http://www.bloglines.com/blog/OnlineCourseLady?id=13.

being able to combine multiple feeds into a single feed is VERY useful -
for example, KickRSS could also be used to combine multiple news feeds
- you could combine news feeds from a bunch of different news sources,
and then use Feed2JS to display the contents in your Desire2Learn course
(there's a new address for the Feed2JS folks, by the way:
http://feed2js.org).

the feeds you create using KickRSS in this way are public feeds - so if
you wanted to create a feed of news items relevant to your department in
general, for example, anyone in the department could make use of the
feed.

the world of RSS just keeps getting better and better!

:)

Laura
