thanks to everybody who came today to the blogger workshop! you will
find ALL the materials that were covered today (including the advanced
features like aggregators and syndication, modifying your template,
etc.) documented here:
http://casweb.ou.edu/olr/software/blogger/s_index.htm

as always, any advice about how to improve/expand the documentation to
make it more useful would be much appreciated!

I would suggest that we talk next week about discussion boards, since
there are some similarities between blogs and discussion boards, but
also some really crucial differences. we could also talk about how to
construct assignments using blogs/boards to make them valuable
experiences for the students rather than just busywork. Karen also found
some great materials re: discussion board etiquette that we can look
over together and discuss.

would that be a good general topic for next week? I'm hoping so - if you
have other ideas/requests, please let me know.

also, last semester (before a lot of the great new features were
released at Blogger!) I had created a group blog for us to use. Kerry,
Rob and I were blogging some - perhaps folks will be more interested in
giving that a try now that you are blog-initiates:
http://faculty-staff.ou.edu/G/Laura.K.Gibbs-1/ouonline/index.html
I'll revamp the blog and send around a link when it's got the latest
Blogger.com features and anybody who wants to join in that as a "group
blog" experiment can just let me know.

thanks again everybody -

Laura
