The School of Journalism at the University of Texas seeks a proven
newsroom leader to fill the S. Griffin Singer Endowed Professorship.
This is a tenured, full-time position intended to enhance the school's
undergraduate reporting and editing curriculum. The successful
applicant also will be expected to help maintain the school's close
ties to the professional community, especially within Texas. Applicants
should be seasoned newspaper or magazine professionals with extensive
experience. A record as a newsroom manager will be a plus, as will the
ability to help the school develop online resources for our students
and the print-journalism community. An advanced academic degree is not
required. Salary and benefits are competitive. Review of submissions
will begin on Dec. 1 and continue until the position is filled.
