The AEJMC Midwinter Conference will be held March 2-3 at Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication University of Oklahoma. Discerning Diverse Voices Symposium The 9th Annual Discerning Diverse Voices Symposium will be held as a pre-conference to the South-East Colloquium, and that the abstract submission deadline is Feb. 1. Since 2008, The University of Alabama’s College of Communication and Information Sciences’ Communication and Diversity Forum has sponsored the symposium. This year’s ninth symposium will take place on the eve of the 2018 AEJMC Southeast Colloquium on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Gorgas Library. The Symposium features student, faculty and staff research and creative activity that addresses the communication and information needs of diverse populations. The purpose of the symposium is to encourage research about diversity and communication in all of its manifestations.
