The announcement description states that ASU invites applications for the
position of *Assistant Professor of Speech Communications*. This is a
10-month tenure track position. The minimum qualifications are a Master's
degree AND 18 earned credit hours in the teaching area of Communication
Studies or Speech Communication (My masters and Ph.D. program in mass
communication in the "rhetoric" based Ohio State University Communication
Department "qualified" me to be required to teach speech courses here. So
apply if you are interested anyway, ESPECIALLY if you have a Ph.D. in ANY
area), a Ph.D. in Communication Studies/Speech Communication or closely
related discipline with specialty in any of the areas such as
organizational communication, intercultural communication, interpersonal
communication, etc. preferred.  Ph.D. required for associate or higher
level.
