The Department of Journalism and Mass Communications at Murray State
University has opened a faculty search for the following position:

 

Assistant Professor/Publication Adviser in the Department of Journalism and
Mass Communications at Murray State University. This is a tenure-track
faculty position with a halftime assignment as student media adviser.

 

Job Responsibilities include supervision of The Murray State News,
TheNews.org website, and related publications such as Gateway magazine and
providing advice and guidance to the student editorial, production, and
advertising staff (1/2 time); teaching two writing, editing, and/or
reporting classes in the Journalism major each semester (1/2 time).
Candidate is expected to engage in service, research activities and
publications toward tenure.
