2008 Convention Site Search Results

Here are results regarding the 2008 Convention site search. When
perusing

remember to use the Council of Divisions' parameters that 1) One hotel
if

possible, 2) Second hotel within two-block walk, 3) Do not use
Convention Centers, 4)

Select city with numerous "amenities" easily reachable, and 5) Climate
and

city "amenities" as important as hotel rates.

Chicago - two possible sites. Both sites would be self-contained. One
rated

$159 sgl/dbl ('08 rate); the other $139 sgl/$l59 dbl ('03 rates, max 5%
annual

increase - approx $174 sgl/$199dbl)



Minneapolis - second hotel needed for housing for both sites available.
One

rated $109 sgl/dbl ('04 rate, max 5% annual increase - approx $131); the
other

rated $139 sgl/$159 dbl ('04 rate, max 5% annual increase - approx $167

sgl/$191 dbl)

St. Louis - two possible sites. One rated $89 and $109 sgl/dbl - two

different towers ('08 rates); one rated $119 sgl/dbl ('04 rate, max 5%
annual increase

- approx $143).

Louisville - two possible sites: one self-contained, one using two
hotels.

Rates range $79-109 sgl/dbl - two separate towers ('04 rates; max 7%
annual

increase - approx $95-$131) to $129/134 sgl/$ 139/154 dbl ('04 rates;
max 4%

annual increase - approx $155/161 sgl/$167/185 dbl).



Cincinnati - one possible site with overflow rooms and space needed in
second

hotel. Rate $lO9 and $l39 sgl and $ll9 and l49 dbl('O8 rates)

Indianapolis - two possible sites with overflow rooms and space needed
in

second hotel. Rate $139 sgl/$149 dbl ('04 rate; max 4% annual increase -
approx

$167 sglI$179db1).

Detroit - one possible site. Rate $119 sgl/$129 dbl ('04 rates; max 4%
annual

increase -approx $143 sgl/$155 dbl).



Nashville - no information received; two sites possible there - one

self-contained 12 miles from downtown; other a downtown hotel with
seamless connection

to convention center and over-flow hotel needed for housing.



Cleveland - no information received; however, minimum three-hotel
package

necessary for housing and two-hotel package necessary for meeting space.



Columbus - no information received; however, one possible site of a
downtown

hotel with seamless connection to the convention center and over-flow
hotel

needed for housing.
