This is good work Federico has done.  I would like to see a race/GENDER breakdown so that we don't give women of color the hard time of being separated by our envelope (race/ethnicity/color) or our genitalia (gender).  We are both.  That would further illuminate the stats also so we could have an even more meaningful discussion.  (All the women are White; all the minorities are men; but some of us are strong...)

Dear Colleagues:
Here is an observation about the demographic distribution of the 30 candidates nominated this year to AEJMC's top leadership positions:
Female: 16 = 53%
Male: 14= 47%
Asian American: 4 = 13%
African American: 2 = 7%
Latino/Hispanic: none
American Indian: ?
I don't know the current demographics of AEJMC, but I would venture to say there is a mismatch in the nominations vis-a-vis the minority membership.

Any comments?
I looked at the AEJMC web site to see who was on the nominations committee, but the names are not shown.
