Subject: NATPE Educational Foundation summer faculty grants

I hope you are doing well. I'm writing to ask you to notify your AEJMC division members of this upcoming National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) deadline.

The NATPE Educational Foundation funds a summer faculty internship...in news or production or television programming or advertising. We also include a fellowship to attend the 2016 NATPE Conference and Market in Miami Beach in January 2016.

Our postmarked by deadline is February 16. The application is pretty simple...quick and easy to complete. If someone on your faculty might benefit from a professional training opportunity, please pass along this announcement. Click the link below for a full program description.

Faculty Development Grants for faculty seeing convergence opportunities in broadcast news or for time with a broadcast production firm or ad agency.

The NATPE Educational Foundation invites you to spend
part of your summer developing or refreshing your skills!

Applications are now being accepted for the 2015 Faculty Development Grant.

The postmarked by deadline is February 16--earlier this year!

The Program allows teaching faculty to spend two -- six weeks of the summer or a sabbatical semester "interning" with a TV station, cable system, broadcast or cable network, or program distributor to increase teaching effectiveness through a hands-on experience.

Applicants receive a grant of at least $500 per week during a summer placement at a media firm and travel funding, registration, meals and housing to attend the 2016 NATPE Conference.

Go to https://www.natpe.com/education/programs to find the writeable PDF application.
If this opportunity isn't for you, please tell a colleague.
