The University of Indianapolis is currently accepting applications for two tenure-track faculty positions:



Position #1

Assistant Professor of Communication

The University of Indianapolis is seeking applicants for a new, full-time, nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Communication with expertise in some combination of the following: media criticism, public relations, media production, and/or digital media. The position starts in August 2017.



Responsibilities include teaching twenty-four hours per school year, conducting and disseminating original research and serving the department, university, community and/or discipline. The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of effective pedagogy and an ongoing scholarly agenda.



Qualifications: Ph.D. in Communication is preferred. ABD will be considered.

Position #2

Assistant Professor of Communication (Forensics)

The University of Indianapolis is seeking applicants for a new, full-time, nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Communication with expertise in coaching and running a forensics team and a record of effective teaching, scholarship and service.



The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to coach and oversee all aspects of the speech team as well as provide evidence of effective pedagogy and expertise in one or more of the following areas: electronic media, public relations, sports communication, human (speech) communication, or journalism. In addition to coaching the speech team, responsibilities will include teaching an additional nine hours per semester, maintaining a scholarly agenda and providing service to the department, university, community, and/or discipline.



Qualifications: Terminal degree in communication or a related field. ABD will be considered.
