Here's a message from Felecia and an important invitation:

Dear Colleague:

The Commission on the Status of Minorities will be holding its annual meeting Thursday, August 11 from 8:30 to 10 p.m. in Conference Room 16. This meeting immediately follows the MAC meeting and is held in the same room.

The purpose of the commission is to serve as a voice for the AEJMC members of color. The issues we address include increasing and retaining our presence in all areas of journalism education, as well as in the profession.

We need your ideas, your participation and more importantly, your activism.

Thanking you in advance, I am,

                     Sincerely,

                     Felecia Jones Ross
                     CSM Vice Chair
