This hands-on workshop will explore a range of issues related to the
support and development of faculty involved in online education, whether
completely online or in combination with other delivery methods.
Faculty are the most valuable asset to a successful online learning
program. Understanding their needs and developing the appropriate
levels of service is a critical link to a satisfied online faculty.
This session will explore specific strategies for addressing design and
development needs as well as review of compensation models, support
services, technical support, and workload management strategies.
Objectives:
* Participants will review existing strategies for addressing
development needs of faculty involved in online learning.
* Participants will formulate new approaches to serving the
development needs of faculty in the areas of pedagogical and technical
support, compensation, and student support.
