Thanks for sharing this EK.
This is a fascinating story that I "liked" on Facebook last week. I was delighted to that MSNBC's Melissa Harris Perry did a story on this and had the professor in question as a guest on her program Saturday morning.
This is an issue that I've encountered all too often in my career when I teach courses like race, gender and media. I fear that such issues will be exacerbated as more and more universities face pressures (mandates) to increase retention and graduation rates (for state funding purposes), adopt such policies guided by the students are "customers" model.
